# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The sauce develops this incredible depth of flavor that tastes better than anything from a bottle
  • Your slow cooker does practically all the work while you go about your day
  • Leftovers somehow taste even better the next day if they last that long
02 -
  • Make sure the cornstarch slurry is completely smooth before adding it or you will end up with lumpy sauce
  • The sauce will seem thin at first but thickens up beautifully once you add the cornstarch mixture
  • Do not lift the lid too often while cooking or you will need to extend the cooking time
03 -
  • Use tamari instead of soy sauce to make this completely gluten-free without sacrificing flavor
  • Let the chicken rest in the sauce for at least 10 minutes before serving so every bite is coated
