16 - Sliced avocado
17 - Extra drizzle of firecracker sauce

# Preparation Steps:

01 - In a small bowl, whisk together hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ground ginger until thoroughly combined. Set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, approximately 5–7 minutes.
03 - Pour the firecracker sauce over the cooked chicken. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the chicken. Remove from heat.
04 - Divide cooked rice among four serving bowls. Top each bowl with an equal portion of the firecracker chicken.
05 - Arrange shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, bell pepper slices, and green onions around the chicken in each bowl.
06 - Sprinkle sesame seeds over each bowl. Add optional toppings such as fresh cilantro or avocado slices. Serve immediately with additional firecracker sauce if desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Everything happens in one pan, so cleanup is basically nonexistent
  • The sauce hits that perfect sweet spot between spicy and tangy
  • You can prep all the veggies ahead and still have dinner ready in 15 minutes
02 -
  • The sauce will keep thickening in the pan, so pull it a tiny bit earlier than you think
  • Ground turkey or plant-based crumbles work exactly the same way if that's your preference
  • Rice needs to be hot when you plate or the cold veg will make the whole thing lukewarm
03 -
  • Mix up a double batch of the sauce and keep it in the fridge for instant meals all week
  • Let the chicken get almost crispy in places before adding the sauce for better texture contrast
